NISKAYUNA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A two-vehicle head-on crash that happened early Friday morning on Troy-Schenectady Road is under investigation. The Niskayuna Police Department said both drivers were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said they responded to the crash near the intersection of Troy-Schenectady Road and Douglas Court at 6:48 a.m. There were no passengers in either vehicle, only occupied by the drivers, law enforcement said.

Both drivers were treated by the Niskayuna Fire Department and Mohawk Ambulance before being brought to Albany Medical Center. Police said the crash remains under investigation and believe impairment was not involved in the cause of the crash.
