Lyft says it will open a new technology hub in downtown Toronto in the second half of next year, marking its second-largest tech office after San Francisco.

The new location, set in the city’s financial district, will eventually house several hundred employees across engineering, product, operations, and marketing roles. Lyft says the move highlights its growing presence in Canada, where rides have increased more than 20 per cent year over year in the first half of 2025.
