Police have launched their ‘strangest appeal ever’ - to find a crocodile in Derbyshire . This comes after a stunned member of the public reported the 4ft-long reptile lurking in a canal. ‌

Cops think the croc — which surfaced near the village of Willington — could be dead. But they are desperate to find it to calm public fears. ‌
