Balasore : A police team led by Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Subhranshu Sekhar Nayak arrested four persons, including a minor, for allegedly attacking a doctor near Soro College in Balasore district.

The incident occurred on September 17 when doctor Brajasundar Swain, a pediatrician, was attacked by six masked miscreants with sharp weapons near his clinic at College Square.

Swain sustained severe injuries, including a deep cut on his neck, and was initially treated at a local clinic before being shifted to a private medical facility in Bhubaneswar.

Based on the complaint filed by Swain’s father, the police registered a case and launched an investigation. The police team, formed on the instructions of Balasore SP, conducted raids and arrested the accused Sooryakanta Nayak (21),
