The Mesa Design Review Board recently discussed the look and landscaping for the 187-acre third phase of the Google “Red Hawk” data center in southeast Mesa.
Chair Dane Astle and Boardmember Paul Johnson were absent from the Oct. 14 meeting.
A 283,497-square-foot data center building is planned, Staff Planner Charlotte Bridges said.
“It has a building height of 35 feet, 10 inches to the topmost parapet. We’re only reviewing phase 3. Phase 1 and 2 have been previously reviewed and are under construction,” she said. “There is mechanical equipment — generators, things like that, that are associated with this project.
