New Delhi: Kiran Navgire, an Indian batter, etched her name in the record books by smashing the world’s fastest century by a woman in cricket. Maharashtra’s opener scored 106 runs off just 35 deliveries.

The opener brought up her hundred in just 34 balls and recorded the fastest ever ton in the format in the women’s category. She also made a partnership of 103 runs for the opening wicket, in which she contributed 97 runs, and her partner Magre made just six runs off 10 deliveries.

Navgire ended her innings with 14 fours and seven maximums with a strike-rate of 302.86. This is the only hundred in women’s cricket, which ended at over a 300 strike-rate in a T20 game.
