MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Memphis Police say K9 Glitch helped sniff out a hard drive that led to an arrest for sex crimes.
Police say Glitch was brought in to smell for electronic devices and was able to sniff out two hard drives buried under a pile of computer cables.
The find by Glitch led to the arrest of Joe Kerley.
Kerley is charged with three counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor.
MPD says Glitch has been used 25 times since 2023. So far this year, he’s found 67 devices, including a homicide victim’s cell phone that was thrown from a vehicle.
