MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Memphis Police Department Sergeant Christopher Currie is off the job pending an investigation into his arrest.
Currie was arrested by police in Oakland, Tennessee, on Tuesday.
He is charged with domestic assault, evading arrest, child endangerment, resisting arrest and stop sign violation.
MPD says Currie has been relieved of duty until further notice.
He has since been released from jail on a $20,000 bond, according to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.
