Cambridge OPP issued 85 charges and 41 vehicles were taken out of service after a commercial motor vehicle inspection blitz in Ayr.
OPP said 140 commercial vehicles were inspected during the blitz. Along with the charges and vehicles taken off the road, officers inspected 118 vehicles for fuel tax evasion and all were found to be in full compliance.
In addition, nine inspections were completed for International Fuel Tax Agreement compliance. Three licence plates were removed and a three-day driver’s licence suspension was issued.
