Paul Gascoigne has revealed that he has been unable to give up alcohol after a lifetime of fighting an addiction that has plagued his post football life. ‌

Speaking to the Mirror , ' Gazza' spoke at length about his battle with drink and admitted that he feels he is "unable" to change and will continue like this for the rest of his life. ‌

He said: "I don't get drunk because I hate my mum and dad or I hate the public. It is not about that. I do it for the sake of it. ‌
