Downtown Newnan will play host to a second “No Kings” rally this Saturday.
The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon on the downtown square. Coweta County Indivisible, a local chapter of the national Indivisible organization, is hosting the rally.
As of Tuesday, Oct. 14, approximately 250 people have registered for the rally, but event organizers expect a much larger crowd.
“We had between 500 and 600 people attend in June and expect this turnout to be significantly larger,” Shelly Guindon with Coweta County Indivisible said.
The event is meant to be a peaceful demonstration, Guindon said, and attendees are expected to obey all state and local laws.
