WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - Thousands of rallies are expected across the nation and in the North County on Saturday as part of the “No Kings” protests.
Two gatherings are planned in Watertown to oppose what some see as authoritarian practices by President Donald Trump.
Organizers with Lake Effect Progress, a local activist organization, expect the size of Saturday’s protests to rival, if not surpass, the last “No Kings Day,” which took place in June.
One protest will be held on Arsenal Street overlooking Interstate 81 from 10 a.m. to noon. It’ll be followed by a second protest on Public Square from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
