WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - Police respond Friday night to North Hamilton Street to find a 43-year-old man injured from an apparent stabbing that happened blocks away.
Police describe the incident as an assault with an edged weapon and say it happened at 11 Public Square, which is the listed address for Woolworth Apartments.
The incident, which happened at 10:16pm Friday, sent the injured man to a Syracuse hospital where he is in stable condition, according to police.
Police records show an emergency call has police responding to apartment 502 at 11 Public Square at 10:16pm Friday. Minutes later at 10:26pm, police were at 234 North Hamilton street for something “out back.”
Police add that this appears to have been a targeted attack and there doesn’t seem to be a threat to the public.
