FARGO — A video in which U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem blames the federal government shutdown and possible flight delays on Democrats is not showing at Hector International Airport in Fargo, at least for now.
Municipal Airport Authority Chair Paula Ekman said she didn’t have an official statement from the board because it last met on Tuesday, Oct. 14, and the issue did not come up then.
But she told The Forum the particular video is not being shown at Hector and that travelers may be confusing an older video featuring Noem with the new one.
Dozens of airports nationwide, including the 10 busiest, have chosen not to allow the most recent Noem video to be shown, citing the Hatch Act.
