LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- Nearly 100 No Kings demonstrations are planned across Michigan on Saturday, Oct. 18, as a response to President Donald Trump's policies and actions, according to protest organizers.

"America has no kings, and the power belongs to the people," the No Kings website reads. Thousands of Michigan residents are expected to attend these protests for the second time this year.

Trump has pushed the boundaries of his powers and presidential norms. His approval rating has hovered around 40%, though a new Emerson College poll indicates that 37% of voters approve of Trump's economic policy.
