PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The suspect accused of killing two Phoenix teenagers during a camping trip appeared in court to enter his initial plea.

Thomas Brown, 31, pleaded not guilty in front of the judge during Friday morning’s court hearing. Earlier this month, Brown was arrested in connection with the murders of Pandora Kjolsrud, 18, and Evan Clark, 17 .

Brown’s next court date is scheduled for Dec. 4, and his trial is tentatively set for next June.

On May 27, the two teens were found dead while camping near State Route 87 in the Mount Ord area of Tonto National Forest. Detectives say Kjolsrud and Clark were shot several times , and their bodies were dragged into the brush and hidden.
