(BCN) -- A 60-year-old man was arrested for allegedly impersonating an officer and pulling over a woman driving in Stockton on Thursday evening, police said.
Samuel Jacob was arrested after a woman driving in the area of West Lane and Alpine Avenue around 7 p.m. Thursday said a vehicle pulled next to her with a strobing red and blue light, then the driver identified himself as a police officer and told her to pull over, according to Stockton police.
The victim complied but when she realized the man was not a police officer, she began recording him on her cellphone. He fled, but police were able to locate and arrest him and identified him as Jacob.
He was arrested on suspicion of impersonating a police officer and attempted false imprisonment, police said.
