A Kingston man, known a visionary business leader and tourism champion will be receiving a lifetime achievement award from the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario, which represents the voice of tourism in the province.

According to a news release from the TIAO, John Wright will be presented with the prestigious honour at the Ontario Tourism Summit on Oct. 28.

Wright moved from Montreal to Kingston when he was 21 years old and quickly recognized the city’s potential as a tourism hub.

According to the release, he holds a legacy of leadership and impact that spans over four decades.
