STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Another weekend in New York City brings another set of events slated to close city streets.
Numerous parades, runs and festivals will shut down select roadways and could result in detours for motorists making their way across the five boroughs.
Among the parades is the 8th Annual Disability Pride Parade on Sunday scheduled to take over several Manhattan streets.
In addition to parades and runs spanning several blocks, there will also be relatively smaller events such as the Hell’s Kitchen Fall Fair, which is scheduled to shut down a section of 8th Avenue.
As noted in an advisory from the NYPD, the closures will be at the discretion of police.
