King Charles III was part of Prince Andrew ’s latest decision.

After the member of the royal family said he would no longer be using his royal titles —including the Duke of York—E! News has learned that the King is glad of the final outcome and that Andrew’s decision was made after close consultation with his older brother.

The overall choice was made for Andrew to no longer use his titles and honors and to step back from public life amid the continued scrutiny related to his association with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein .
