CASA GRANDE, Ariz. — Crews are responding to a plane crash in Casa Grande, according to official.
The Casa Grande Fire Department said at around 1:15 p.m., the small plane was flying between Tucson and Phoenix when it experienced engine failure.
The pilot tried to make an emergency landing at the Casa Grande Municipal Airport.
Fire crews arrived and found the plane overturned on the ground. It was not smoking or fire.
The pilot has non-life-threatening injuries and was alert and conscious when fire crews got to him. He was been taken to Banner Casa Grande Medical Center.
The crash in being investigated by the FAA.
