It sounds like the highly-anticipated film adaptation of Sony and Guerrilla Games’ acclaimed video game Horizon Zero Dawn is finally moving forward!

According to a new report from The Games Post , production on the movie should begin next year.

The outlet credits a new court filing for the information that stems from Sony’s ongoing lawsuit against Tencent over Light of Motiram , which the film studio describes as a “slavish clone” of Aloy’s saga.

Amid the legal proceedings, new details have emerged about the planned film adaptation, with The Games Post reporting that a script for the live-action adaptation has been finished and the search for a director is underway. Sony supposedly hopes to release the movie in 2027.
