SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - If you are looking to celebrate Halloween a little early, the Potawatomi Zoo is hosting ‘Zoo Boo.’

The event started on Friday and will continue for the rest of the weekend and also next weekend.

Each weekend is themed with costumed characters roaming around the zoo.

This weekend the theme is ‘Princesses and Heroes’. And next weekend will be ‘Witches and Wizardry’.

The zoo is also decorated with pumpkins, lights, and decorations.

You can come and trick or treat at the vendors, enjoy seeing the animals, and ride the haunted train and enchanted carousel.

Again, the event occurs this weekend and next weekend. The hours are 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. for Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Zoo Boo will occur on both weekends ‘rain or shine.’
