LACONIA, N.H. —

A new report from the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office is calling for expanding a key domestic violence prevention program statewide after reviewing the Berlin murder that claimed the life of Marisol Fuentes.

One of the report's major recommendations focuses on the Lethality Assessment Program or LAP — a 13-question checklist police officers use when responding to domestic violence calls.

If a victim's answers indicate they're in serious danger, officers immediately connect them by phone to a crisis center for emergency safety planning and support services.
