The Edmonton Oil Kings climbed aboard their bus for the seven-hour journey to Prince Albert Friday afternoon, hopefully a ride to Redemption Road.
Last April, the Oil Kings had the Raiders by the throat, up 3-1 in their first-round playoff series, only to be the ones who choked, losing Game 7 in P.A.
Now, a WHL game in October isn’t the same as one in the spring, but nevertheless the 8-2 Oil Kings would like a slice of revenge over the 6-0-1 Raiders. These are two of the top 10 junior teams in the country — the Oil Kings ranked fifth, the Raiders 10th.
