Interstate 75 in Cobb County is reopening in both directions after being shut down for hours on Friday afternoon for a “suspicious item.”
NewsChopper 2 watched as Cobb County Bomb Squad’s robot picked up the suspicious item and loaded it onto a containment truck.
The containment truck then removed the item from the interstate.
The interstate was shut down between Delk Road and Windy Hill Road for more than two hours.
Georgia Department of Transportation cameras in the area showed several fire trucks and police cruisers blocking off a part of the interstate.
