HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) -- A member of the Hendersonville Fire Department was recognized earlier this week for saving a man’s life at a Tennessee Titans preseason game while off-duty back in August.

On Aug. 22, HFD Senior Firefighter Corey Shelton sprung into action when a man suddenly collapsed in the concourse of Nissan Stadium.

Shelton wasn’t even supposed to be there. He said the tickets were a last minute decision, he and his family were running late to the game, and they originally walked to the wrong side of the stadium. However, fate is funny like that.
