OMAHA, Neb. —
A tribute to a classic western movie, "The Cowboys," is coming to the Omaha Community Playhouse.
The movie screening is at the Omaha Community Playhouse on Friday, Oct. 24. It starts at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $30 and can be purchased here .
Film Historian Bruce Crawford is teaming up with Husker legend Johnny Rogers to make it happen.
The movie originally came out in 1972, the same year Rogers won the Heisman. The actor in the film, Robert Carradine, will also be at the screening.
"You have to keep the culture going, the positive aspects of movies, the quality of the classic films. We have to keep that in people's eyes, in their minds, so they can see it again," Crawford said.
"It's part of history. History is his story and we're part of the story," Rogers said.
