ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Over the last year, the Albemarle County Police Department has seen a drop in Part 1 crime.

Part 1 crimes are more serious crimes such as homicides, aggravated assaults, larceny and burglary.
