PLYMOUTH, Minn. — A metro family is demanding answers after a prolonged phone service outage has left their 95-year-old mother cut off from her children.

The trouble began Last Thursday, Oct. 9, when The Waters of Plymouth senior facility reported that the CenturyLink phone line was accidentally cut. Nearly eight days later, phones are still dead, and Sherry DeWolf, whose mother has lived at the facility for 12 years, says the situation is causing real safety concerns.

"She needed medical attention on Monday. I didn't know that until I happened to come in and find that she needed medical attention, and I had to take her to urgent care," DeWolf said.
