AUSTIN (KXAN) — Central Texas saw some big high school football games Friday night that had massive implications as teams jockey for playoff positioning.

Georgetown met rival East View in a battle of district unbeatens. The Eagles handled the Patriots in impressive fashion, with Georgetown claiming a 31-8 victory.

Lake Travis took down Dripping Springs 14-7 in a clash of two of the best in the state. The Cavaliers remain unbeaten on the season ahead of their duel with rival Westlake next weekend.
