MINOT, ND (KXNET) — With some schools across North Dakota having the day off, the Magic City Discovery Center is bringing back a fun-filled monthly tradition. On Friday, the Discovery Center hosted its first Day Off Discoveries event of the 2025-26 school year.

The Minot Fire Department stopped by this afternoon, giving kids the chance to explore all of the ins and outs of what it's like to be a firefighter. Each month, the Discovery Center introduces a new theme, helping kids throughout North Dakota explore all kinds of different STEAM-based careers.
