PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - Pikeville was back in action in week nine, shutting out archrival Paintsville, 38-0.
With 9:06 remaining in the first quarter, Jayden Justice put the Panthers on the board first with a 40-yard rushing touchdown.
The Tigers turned it over on downs, giving the Panthers’ the ball on their own 43-yard line.
J.J Reynolds found Harrison Fields on a 31-yard pass for Pikeville’s second touchdown of the night, with 30 seconds remaining in the first quarter.
The Panthers would score a touchdown once again with 4:20 remaining in the half, thanks to a 30-yard rushing touchdown by Justice.
Pikeville will return to action at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 24, when they hit the road to take on Hazard.
The Tigers will face Martin Co. at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 31 in front of their home crowd.
