Temperatures will warm up through the weekend but will feel fall-like with cold mornings and warm afternoons. A cold front brings down temperatures again next week as a chance for rain returns.

It was a cold start to the day Friday in western, northern, and central New Mexico. A few places dropped down to freezing for the first time this year, with more places falling into the upper and mid 30s. The Albuquerque Metro dropped into the mid 40s, which was our first temperature in the 40s in nearly five months. This afternoon, high temperatures stayed on the cooler side thanks to the cold front that moved through yesterday. Tonight, it will be another chilly night, with lows dropping a couple degrees lower than what we woke up to today. A few spotty showers, with little accumulating rainfall,
