NEW DELHI: India's T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav recently led India to the Asia Cup 2025 title, defeating Pakistan in a thrilling final in Dubai. Surya had already won the T20 World Cup 2024 as a player and now believes he could have also captained India in ODIs if things had gone his way and he had been given a longer run in the 50-over format. Following Rohit Sharma's retirement from Test cricket, Shubman Gill was handed the Test captaincy and will now also lead India in ODIs.
