The Classic’s executive director says Central Alabama could see a $25 million economic impact over the next week.
For nearly a century, the Magic City Classic has brought historic rivalry football to Birmingham. Year after year, hundreds of thousands of people gather to watch Alabama A&M take on Alabama State, making it the largest HBCU event in the country.
This year, Executive Director Perren King says they’re expecting around 130,000 people to tailgate and see the parade.
