GARRETTSVILLE — Friday’s game between Crestview and Garfield had major league implications.

Whoever was left standing after the dust settled was going to put themselves in prime position to win the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference’s Gray Tier. In addition to the league title being on the line, last year’s meeting was decided by a point in favor of the G-Men.

Mikey Proctor ran in for four touchdowns to help push the Rebels to a 42-20 victory, maintaining the team’s undefeated record, and avenged last season’s loss.

“I want to tell you it was just like any other game, and that’s how we approached practice, but these guys knew it was a huge game and it was a huge program win for us,” Crestview coach Dominic Perry said.
