After a series of high-profile crimes downtown, many people say they’re thinking twice about coming into the city.
David Williams of Mason says he used to take his family to the Cincinnati Symphony and other shows regularly. But after a viral fight downtown earlier this summer, he’s been hesitant to return. Advertisement
“I don’t feel comfortable taking my family to things that we enjoyed in the past,” Williams said. “It felt like a turning point, honestly. And then more recently, it's even worse with people getting shot.”
This week alone, five people were shot in Cincinnati within just eight hours — including a shooting into a restaurant on Fountain Square. Just hours after last night's Bengals game, a person was shot and killed outside Heritage Bank Center.
