A cartel leader known as El Gato is now facing a new federal murder-for-hire charge in a fifth superseding indictment. The charge stems from a 2013 killing in Southlake, and if convicted, he could face the death penalty. He was previously on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted list and was extradited to the U.S. earlier this year.
