ORCHID: To Carrie Biery of Howland, founder of Logan’s Landing Project, for organizing a successful car show recently at Richard Orwig Park to benefit her nonprofit aimed at making life more inclusive for those on the autism spectrum. Her experience of raising her son, Logan, 5, who is autistic and nonverbal, fuels her unbridled passion to develop sensory-friendly spaces. That includes accessible surfaces and multi-use equipment, such as swings, slides and spinners designed for all abilities. We wish Biery and members of Logan’s Landing continued success and strong community support in its noble mission.
