Britons renewing their passports after December 2025 will receive a completely redesigned travel document with significant alterations to its appearance, the Home Office has announced. These new passports will be the first to display His Majesty King Charles III's Coat of Arms.
Authorities have claimed that state-of-the-art anti-counterfeiting technology will render this updated version the "most secure British passport ever produced". Groundbreaking holographic and see-through elements will make the documents easier to authenticate whilst remaining practically impossible to falsify or alter.
