Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasised that the flagging of the first batch of BrahMos missiles in Lucknow is a “moment of accomplishment” and a sign of India’s growing “self-reliance” in the defence sector.
Addressing the flagging off ceremony, CM Yogi Adityanath, underlining Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Make in India’, highlighted that the country has now become capable of fulfilling its security.
“This is a moment of accomplishment for us, and especially for me, because we are fortunate to fulfil the Prime Minister’s pledge of ‘Make in India’ and flag off the first batch of BrahMos missiles based on ‘Swadeshi’ technology, in the presence of the Defence Minister (Rajnath Singh).” CM Yogi said.
