A West Lothian MSP is working to ensure that the vital services of a local support group for parents with young children continue.

Angela Constance, MSP for Almond Valley, recently met with the team at Home-Start West Lothian in Livingston to discuss the impact of recent West Lothian Council budget cuts on the organisation’s crucial services for local families.

Home-Start West Lothian was established in 2000 and provides support, friendship, and practical help to parents with young children across West Lothian .

The charity recruits and trains volunteers – often parents themselves – to visit families at home who have at least one child under five, to give them informal, friendly, and confidential support, reports The Daily Record.
