PICKERINGTON, Ohio — Junior running back Andyriq Thomas powered Pickerington North to a commanding 35-7 victory over New Albany on Friday night, rushing for four touchdowns including explosive runs of 80 and 61 yards.

The Panthers overcame an early 7-0 deficit after throwing a pick-six in the first quarter, rallying for 35 unanswered points behind Thomas’s dominant performance and a stout defensive effort.

Thomas sparked the comeback in the second quarter with a 21-yard touchdown run, taking an inside handoff before bouncing outside and cutting back inside to reach the end zone. The score tied the game 7-7 with 4:45 remaining in the half.

The Panthers took the lead before halftime when they returned an interception 74 yards to New Albany’s 11-yard line. Thomas punched it in from there,
