A woman stabbed to death by her cage fighter boyfriend sent chilling texts about what might happen to her days before she was murdered.

Michael Ormandy stabbed Rebekah Campbell 18 times and slashed her another nine times with a knife at her own flat.

She was said to have pleaded "get out, go away Mick" as he burst into her home in a bulletproof vest.

Ms Campbell, 32, collapsed outside and asked emergency crews who rushed to the scene "am I going to die?"

Ormandy - a former boxer and cage fighter who bears a tattoo of the words "The Hitman" across the front of his neck - was this week convicted of murder following a two-week trial at Liverpool Crown Court.

He had claimed he acted in self-defence despite suffering only a single cut to his hand which needed minor treatment
