Reinier de Ridder vs. Brendan Allen ceremonial weigh-in faceoff - UFC Vancouver

UFC Fight Night 262 (ESPN+) took place Saturday, and MMA Junkie provided live round-by-round coverage and official results. UFC Fight Night 262 took place at Rogers Arena in Vancouver.

In the headliner, former two-division ONE Championship titleholder Reinier de Ridder (21-3 MMA, 4-1 UFC) met Brendan Allen (26-7 MMA, 14-4 UFC) at middleweight. Kevin Holland (28-15 MMA, 15-12 UFC) took on Mike Malott (13-2-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) in the welterweight co-feature.

Reinier de Ridder vs. Brendan Allen

Round 1 – Allen immedately clinches de Ridder and presses him against the cage. Oh! de Ridder hits a throw and gets mount on Allen. de Ridder has Allen in an arm-triangle positio, but it's not fully locked in. Allen escapes, but gives up his back in the process. de Ridder sinks in the body triangle. Short shots by de Ridder. Not much damage being done by de Ridder, but he has pure control over Allen. More shots from de Ridder. de Ridder switches to mount and begins landing heavier shots. Allen escapes in the final seconds.

Round 2 – Allen comes out very agressive, connnects a couple of shots, but then gets clinched and presses against the cage by de Ridder. de Ridder working for the takedown here. The crowd boos. Very little action here. de Ridder gets the takedown. de Ridder gets the back of Allen, but slips and ends on bottom. We're halfway through the round. Nice elbow by Allen. Another elbow by Allen. Big shots from Allen! de Ridder trying to set up sweep or submissions but unable to. Allen ends the round on top.

Round 3 – de Ridder closes the distance and takes down Allen immediately. de Ridder gets the back of Allen. vVry impressive. de Ridder is cut from his right eye. Good control here by Allen. Oh! Round 4 – Allen shoots and takes down de Ridder early. Man, de Ridder is completely gassed. Nota ton going on. The crowd is booing here. Allen is on top, but not doing much damage, if any. Kevin Holland vs. Mike Malott

Round 1 – Both guys very tentative here. Leg kick by Mallott. Big combo connects for Mallott! One, two for Mallott! Oh! Righthand knocks down Mallott! Holland jumps on him. Mallott sweeps him from bottom! They sramble like two cats! Crazy sequence. They're in the clinch and they separate. Two minutes left. A groin kick from Mallott stops the action. Holland rests up for a few seconds and fight resumes. Big leg kick by Mallott, but Holland lands a right hand. They clinch. Low blow again from Mallott. The fight is stopped. This time Holland seems to be in a great deal of pain. After 5 minutes, the fight resumes. No point taken for Mallott. Holland is not really fully recovered. They exchange a little and the bell rings.

Round 2 – The in-between rounds was over two minutes, as Holland wasn't coming out to fight due to the groin pain. It eventually resumes. Very questionable decisions from referee Dan Miragliotta. Mallott pressing. Jabs by Mallott. Big connection for Holland! Leg kicks by Holland. Nice counter by Mallott. Now Holland witha right hand. Mallott is pressing here, but his output has dropped. Danny Barlow vs. Djorden Santos
