Some Amtrak stations are considered important examples of some of the most popular architectural styles in U.S. history, from Union Station in Washington, D.C., an excellent example of neoclassical architecture, to Main Street Station in Richmond, Virginia, known for its Renaissance Revival style.

Yet, this is just one of the two main reasons why Amtrak constantly updates and invests in these facilities. The other is to increase accessibility and constantly improve passengers' experiences.

This is why Amtrak has recently announced in a press release the compilation of a massive project worth $30 million, which has led to the refurbishment of five stations across North Dakota.
