Among the ten ministers who have been dropped in the latest major reshuffle of Gujarat Council of Ministers, five are Cabinet rank ministers, including the lone female ministers, and five the ministers of state.

Several of the Congress turncoats have been dropped from the new list of ministers. The former Congress leaders who have been dropped are Balvantsinh Rajput, Kunvarji Halpati and Raghavji Patel.

However, while Kunvarji Bavaliya has been retained and allocated the portfolio of Labour, Skill Development and Employment, Rural Development, he is joined by former senior Congress leader from Porbandar, Arjun Modhwadia, who has been included in the Cabinet as the new Forests and Environment, Climate Change, Science and Technology minister.
