COPPELL---The Coppell football team celebrated Heroes Night at Buddy Echols Field as they looked to topple undefeated Lewisville in District 5-6A action Friday evening.

A fitting theme for the night, the Cowboys would seemingly need a heroic effort to hand a team ranked No. 11 in Class 6A its first defeat of 2025. By the end of the contest, it was Lewisville who may as well have needed medical assistance for shooting themselves in the foot.
