STAMFORD, VT. (WWLP) - A North Adams man has died following a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle on Thursday in Vermont.

Vermont State Police stated that at approximately 3:47 p.m. on Thursday, troopers were called to Route 100 near Robillard Road in Stamford for reports of a car and motorcycle accident. Before law enforcement arrived in the area, it was reported that the motorcyclist had died as a result of injuries from the crash.

State police determined through preliminary investigation and witness statements that a Jeep Cherokee was reportedly preparing to enter the highway from a side road that connects Robillard Road and Route 100. When the Jeep drove to the edge of the roadway, the motorcycle allegedly struck the driver's side of the vehicle.
